About KLT Architects Ltd

KLT Architects are a Marlborough based architecture firm, specialising in residential, small commercial and education facility architecture.

They design high quality, practical solutions with an emphasis on comfort and energy efficiency. Their innovative and personalised approach facilitates the agile creation of functional and sustainable spaces that personally relate to their client.

In 2022 they won a New Zealand Institute of Architects (NZIA) Nelson/Marlborough Award for designing a low energy certified office which incorporated Formance SIP Panels.

Director Keryn Thompson, started the company in 2021, after 20 years’ experience in Wellington. As a Registered Architect (NZRAB) and a member of the New Zealand Institute of Architects (NZIA), Keryn’s passion is to design passive or low energy buildings, while working in tight step with her client and build team. Keen to create enduring, high-quality buildings that improve and enhance our environment, she has recently completed the Passive House Academy New Zealand’s (PHANZ) Introduction Course in her bid to becoming a certified passive house designer.

Working alongside Keryn, is in-house spatial designer Abi, who is passionate about environmentally sustainable design, and well considered, crafted spaces that positively impact daily life.

Experience with Formance

KLT Architects have specified Formance SIP Panels into several of their new build residential and small commercial projects. They look forward to future projects where the panels can have a positive impact. Successfully incorporating Formance panels into a design, allows a unique flexibility in aesthetic and style, as well as the tangible benefits of achieving a healthier home or commercial space, and reduced energy consumption. Our Formance Panel projects have been consistently rewarding in terms of build quality and design results.
